The stock market declined significantly today and was saved by the closing bell preventing further losses. Unfortunately, Champion Enterprise's reputation for product quality and customer service continues to decline. Champion's market continues to shrink and there is no closing bell to save it!
In the last two days there have been two interesting comments. The first one dealt with the announcement of Champion closing two of the four regional offices in order to cut costs and save money.
That brings me to the second comment from Kurt in Texas. This one is definitely worth reading and taking the time to review his website: http://kurtshouse.lanesworlds.com ( Well done Kurt ).
If you are still considering a home from Champion Enterprises, you owe it to yourself and your family to read about Kurt's NIGHTMARE! Kurt's experience is very similar to what many readers of this blog have experienced with Champion. Kurt's site reminded me of the photos we posted nearly one year ago that detailed what a shoddy job Champion does building homes. (See monthly archives for March and April 2007 on the blog)
Given the real estate market slow down, Champion's plant and office closings, the shear number of customer complaints voiced and documented against Champion, readers should considered themselves WARNED about what kind of Nightmare to expect when dealing with Champion.

We are presently living a nightmare with a champion modular home. I have taken so many pictures of problems. I want to talk with someone other than the service manager in Lillington but I do not know who it would be. If anyone has ideas please let me know. It was stated that the home was not quality checked before leaving the factory and therefore arrived with major issues on the inside of the house. Can someone please help me? Thanks for listening.
